Justin Oboavwoduo saw ‘positives’ in the EDS performance in a 4-4 draw against Aston Villa.

The young attacker proved to be a potent threat to the visitors backline, and helped City come back to secure a thrilling draw with two goals in an end-to-end contest at the CFA Stadium.

The game was all-action and this was shown in the scoreline.

Our no.7 was all alone in the box and placed a shot into the bottom corner past the Aston Villa goalkeeper, Oli Zych, for his first goal.

He then secured his brace after finding space in the box and sent the keeper the wrong way.

“Obviously it’s nice to score goals, that’s why I’m in the team, to score goals, create chances, get assists,” he began.

“But in the end we didn’t win the game which leaves a sour taste and a sour feeling today but on a personal note it’s great to score two goals and help the team.”

“There was some good stuff that we did in the game, I think there’s some stuff we need to improve on for the rest of the season, defensively and offensively.

“To be able to come back, it’s a positive outlook and hopefully going forward we can reduce the amount of goals we concede and score more goals.”
