A look back at first goals scored by City players in the current squad.

Summer signing Jeremy Doku capped an impressive performance with his first goal for the Club in the 3-1 victory over West Ham on Saturday.

Trailing by a goal, the Belgian winger brought us level with a wonderful solo effort as he drove at the Hammers defence before curling a shot inside the first post.

And that makes it a good time to look back at those maiden strikes by the members of the current City squad.

The London Stadium was also the venue for Erling Haaland’s first City goal barely a year before his 60th and latest at the weekend and was also where John Stones scored his first back in January 2017.

It was eight years this week that Kevin De Bruyne scored his first goal for City, also against the Hammers but this time at the Etihad Stadium in a 2-1 defeat.

After our first Champions League game of the season against Red Star Belgrade on Tuesday, it’s worth remembering that Europe has also been the setting for some of those magic moments.

Rico Lewis was just short of his 18th birthday, when he scored an equaliser in the 3-1 win over Sevilla last September to become the youngest player in Champions League history to score on his first start in the competition.

There’s plenty more goals to enjoy in the video above…
