Former team-mates Josko Gvardiol and Dani Olmo caught up before City and RB Leipzig go head-to-head in our penultimate Champions League group game.

The duo first crossed paths at Dinamo Zagreb before moving to Germany and RB Leipzig in 2020.

Since their first game together in 2019, the duo went on to play together 51 times across the two teams before Gvardiol moved to Manchester.

And ahead of their two current clubs facing each other in the European showpiece, they were asked a handful of questions which flaunted their bromance!

FG asked Olmo which moment he cherishes most from his time together with Gvardiol.

“I remember one of his first games for Dinamo and he scored against Inter Zapresic. I remember it good,” said Olmo.

“And it was a really funny moment because he came to the game, he scored, we won 1-0 and then he went home on the tram! It was a really big thing back then in Croatia, he is humble.”

Gvardiol was asked the same question in return.

“The special moment I remember, we had training outside in Dinamo Zagreb and the manager just made a circle and told everyone to come closer.

“We got news from Spain and it was the first time he [Olmo] got called up for the national team,” said Gvardiol.
