When City skipper Kyle Walker was invited to spend time working alongside the CFA security team, he enthusiastically took on the role.

His work experience shift begins by being kitted out with a reflective big, body cam, walkie-talkie, and a special one day identity pass.

First off, Kyle takes a look around the CCTV room where he is shown how the eyes in the sky keep a close watch on everything and anything at the CFA in a bid to keep the site safe for players and employees.

Next up, he has a walk around the First Team building, spotting ‘a strange player with ginger hair’ in the gym who he identifies as Kevin De Bruyne before reporting him to security HQ to check out.

“There’s also some guy from Leeds with long hair but he’s a lovely guy,” he adds – wonder who that was?

He then fields perimeter fence access queries on the intercom, directing a member of staff who has forgotten their ID to a different entry point.

After a brief chat on team building and his role as skipper with CFA security operations manager Aaron Risdale, he asked to spot an intruder in a simulated exercise – this one just happens to be holding a ‘Kyle Walker can I have your shirt’ placard!

“Of course you can, mate,” says Kyle as he watches the images, “but first you’ve got to get off the premises.”

Finally, Kyle has a hilarious few minutes on the North Gate vehicle barrier, addressing one exiting lady with ‘Welcome. Have a good day.’

In an enjoyable feature, Kyle reveals what he’s learned on his work experience and is told that, when he finishes playing, he’ll always have a place waiting with the CFA security team!
