It’s fair to say that it has been a memorable first few months of the 2023/24 campaign for City starlet Oscar Bobb.

Elevated to City’s first team squad from our Elite Development Squad this summer, the exciting young attacking midfielder subsequently made a big impression on our pre-season tour to Asia.

Having been part of our squad that lifted the UEFA Super Cup in August, the 20-year-old Norwegian Under-21 international then made his Premier League debut in early September, coming on as a substitute in our 5-1 Etihad win against Fulham before featuring again in our 3-1 triumph at West Ham seven days later.

Oscar then followed that up by making his Champions League bow last week, featuring from the bench in City’s 3-1 opening Group G win at home to Red Star Belgrade.

We caught up with Oscar to reflect on how he has found the transition from City’s Academy to our first team set-up – and what making his senior first team debut meant to him.
