Pep Guardiola says his players continue to surprise him in our relentless pursuit for more trophies.

City earned a hard-fought 1-0 victory at Bournemouth on Saturday thanks to Phil Foden‘s first half goal.

That leaves us one point off the top of the Premier League in our hunt for a record fourth successive title.

As well as that, we are still fighting to defend the FA Cup and Champions League crowns we earned during the historic 2022/23 campaign.

Having seen everything his players have already achieved over his seven full seasons in Manchester, Guardiola is amazed that his players continue to work hard for yet more silverware.

“The expectations are so high,” he said.

“What they have done for many years with a lot of games and many things. And always you believe they will fall down and won’t continue to do it, they surprise me.

“I tell them ‘it’s not normal’. For many many years we are three days. Bournemouth had seven days to prepare one game. Seven days dreaming every second the one week to beat the best team in the world.”
