In Barranquilla, Colombia, young leaders are promoting responsible water conservation, waste management, and safe hygiene.

Barranquilla faces water scarcity challenges, with fluctuations in water availability due to factors such as climate change, population growth, pollution, and variations in rainfall patterns.

Jesica and fellow young leaders in Barranquilla are using the power of football to educate young people on waste management and responsible water use to create safe spaces that are free from trash.

Jesica said: “The solution we provide is that, through games and football, we teach young people how to care for the environment by preserving water.

We hope that they will gain this environmental awareness by caring for water and the environment.”

This Cityzens Giving project is delivered in partnership with Fútbol Con Corazón.
