It’s fair to say it’s been a brilliant start to the 2023/24 season for City starlet Khiara Keating.

After progressing through the Club’s youth ranks, the 19-year-old has impressively grabbed the opportunity afforded to her by Gareth Taylor this term with both hands.

The fledgling goalkeeper has started all four of our Barclays Women’s Super League assignments and has superbly kept clean sheets in our wins over West Ham (2-0), Bristol City (5-0) and Leicester (1-0).

What’s more, she produced a string of phenomenal saves in our dramatic 1-1 draw with Chelsea at the Joie Stadium in early October.

Due to her displays between the sticks, she was named in her maiden England senior squad for a Nations League double header with Belgium.

The first month of the new term has represented and reflected a remarkable rise for Keating who has made just 11 senior appearances for City.

In the video above, she talks through her emotions during the enthralling draw with Emma Hayes’ side where Taylor’s team where reduced to nine-players and her assessment on the start of the season.
