And in her first interview with mancity.com, Laura pointed to the example of how she tapped into City and England icon Jill Scott’s vast experience when she was on loan at Villa in 2022 as the ideal template for how young players can further their development.

“I think [that blend of youth and experience] is really important because the young ones can learn from the older ones,” Blindkilde Brown pointed out.

“It’s just an environment for us to develop and learn from.

“It’s helped me massively in my career, playing alongside all of those experienced players [like Jill Scott at Villa].

“Every day I can learn from them, be in that environment with them and seeing how they are. It’s really helped me.”
