"Performance overall was good. Amount of chances we created. Second half we only conceded the transition of the goal.
"Sometimes you have to defend a bit better or be a bit more lucky in that transition but it's football. We learn from that and move on."
Were goals avoidable?: "Absolutely, both. Sometimes you have to be a bit more lucky because we only conceded those two chances. But we created a lot of chances.
"We had many chances. We played most of the game in their box but you have to be clinical and avoid mistakes like the two goals we conceded."
On poor record at Villa Park: "We will try again next season. I can only analyse today and I don't think we deserved to lose today - but we lost.
"You can always learn something. For sure there are things we can do better today."
On Brighton next: "We will see. It will be a different game, they are doing a fantastic job. It will be tough in both games. But we must recover and prepare for that."
"Frustrating, felt like we fought a lot. First 10-15 minutes of the first half we took our time to get into the game.
"They changed the way they set up so we took time to adapt. But we fought, we had chances and they ended up scoring two goals in two transitions - very efficient. Room to improve, we need to do better.
"It is what it is. Whatever happens we need to react to it. The team had a very good reaction. The second one was tough because it was very close to our equaliser. We kept going and tried to create chances. Not our day but we keep moving forward.
"I felt like we were dangerous on many occasions, even if the finish wasn't there we arrived in dangerous places but not able to play. A word of appreciation to the boys because we kept fighting to the end."
