As you’ve already read on mcfc.co.uk, we know what the likes of Manuel Pellegrini and Fernando have been saying about the clash - but what about our opposition?
Well, unsurprisingly, Swans boss Francesco Guidolin is not looking to hand the visitors any favours and wants nothing less than a fifth successive home victory.
He told the Club’s official website: “First, I want to finish the season well.
“Hopefully we can get a good result against Manchester City and then I will look forward to working with the squad during pre-season and getting to know them a little better.
“Manchester City are a top four team and a team with great quality. They have important players but we have been playing well and I hope we can play like we have in our last two games.”
Goalkeeper, Kristoffer Nordfeldt, who is set to make his league debut echoed his manager’s sentiments.
He stated: “Manchester City have had a long season, with all the competitions they have been involved in, so they might be a little tired.
“But they have got a lot to play for, so I think they will be doing everything to be at their best on Sunday.
“If we win, we can still finish in the top ten, which would be amazing if you look back at the season we have had.
“I want to play a good game for Swansea because we want to finish this season on a high. I am going to enjoy it.”
In other news, Stoke’s Xherdan Shaqiri has warned incoming City boss Pep Guardiola he faces a tough test in the Premier League.
Quoted in an article on Sky Sports’ website, the forward declares: “I think that on the pitch he is a very good coach and the players will be learning a lot off him.
“He has a very good staff who work very good.
“But on the other side Man City will expect to win everything and it will be difficult because next season will be a very tough season, the league is getting much better.
“It is a different league to Germany and Spain because in Germany you only have two or three teams who are good, whereas in England now every team is tough to play.
“And you can see that this season in that you can lose against every team, so next season will be a tougher season than this, so it will be difficult for every team.
“But Man City of course have Guardiola and they will be strong and will try and win everything.”
Finally, as always, there’s a snippet of transfer gossip - today it arrives courtesy of ESPN. According to Jonathan Smith, Athletic Bilbao’s Mikel San Jose has insisted teammate Aymeric Laporte will turn City down in the summer.
The midfielder said: ”I am confident that he will continue with us... but I guess in football you never know what can happen.
“A league like the Premier League is always making very high transfers and you never know, but I think [Aymeric] is very focused and very happy here.
“If I have to say something, I trust he will continue with us. He knows he’s at a great club, in a great locker room and a great city to grow. In that sense, I’m calm.”
