The Sun believes City are one of several Premier League clubs that have been placed on alert after Paris Saint-Germain reportedly stated they were prepared to let Jese Rodriguez and Grzegorz Krychowiak leave.
Mike McGrath writes: “The French giants will put £55million’s worth of summer signings on the market THIS MONTH in loans or permanent deals.
“Jese was on Liverpool’s radar before leaving Real Madrid for PSG for £21m at the start of the season.
“West Ham boss Slaven Bilic is also tracking the 23-year-old, who has fallen down the pecking order under Unai Emery.
“Arsene Wenger is a long-term admirer of Poland midfielder Krychowiak and is weighing up cover as Francis Coquelin is crocked.
“The 26-year-old, who went to the Euros in the summer, can also play as centre-back which could prompt managers looking for cover.
“Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is an admirer of the ex-Sevilla star as he looks to plug the gaps left by Ilkay Gundogan and Vincent Kompany.”
Elsewhere, talkSPORT have been discussing the possibility of Tottenham’s Danny Rose and Kyle Walker making the move north to City or United.
As reported on their website, presenter Adrian Durham said: “I would be very surprised if anything happens in this window, but I’d also be very surprised if both players were NOT interested in these stories.
“If they hadn’t heard anything about it at the start of the day, and then looked at these stories, I’d be amazed if they weren’t at all turning their heads at least: [thinking] ‘that’s interesting. Would that be an option for me?’
Finally, David Silva has speaking of how much he enjoys life at Manchester City and the Premier League.
He told the Mirror: “I like lots of things, the competitiveness every weekend. There are lots of good things here and the British fans are amazing.
“But personally I just try to work day to day - I do not get obsessed with thinking about titles.”
