Which player gets your vote in our latest Etihad Player of the Month contest for 2023/24?

December was another historic month for City as we claimed our fifth piece of silverware in the calendar year – the FIFA Club World Cup.

And in 31 days, Pep Guardiola’s side played nine matches across three competitions and scored 22 goals in City’s five wins, two draws and one loss.

With so many boys in blue shining bright in December, it was hard to narrow the nominees down to three. That said, Phil Foden, Julian Alvarez and Bernardo Silva have made the shortlist for December, who gets your vote?

JULIAN ALVAREZ

With Erling Haaland sidelined through injury, City’s Argentine wonder has stepped up to the tall task of scoring goals and he’s done so with ease.

Seven goal contributions in eight games from the 23-year-old has made him one of the first names on the team sheet this campaign.

A brace and an assist in the Club World Cup final helped City make history as we became the first English club in history to hold the Premier League, FA Cup, Champions League, Super Cup and Club World Cup simultaneously.

Add a World Cup trophy to the Argentine’s list and the fact he has scored in six competitions at club level, Alvarez has had a phenomenal 2023.

BERNARDO SILVA

It’s been another fantastic month for Bernardo Silva as he claimed three goals and one assist in December.

The Portuguese has been a constant threat on the right flank with his link-up play with Foden and Alvarez in particular making for energetic and fun football to watch.
