Jack Grealish has expressed his delight after City ended a run of four games without a victory by securing a 2-1 Premier League win over Luton.

The Hatters took the lead deep into first-half stoppage time through Elijah Adebayo, before we completed a stunning turnaround within five second-half minutes.

Bernardo Silva curled in the leveller, before Grealish stroked in the winner, claiming his 50th career goal.

After draws with Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham, and then defeat against Aston Villa, we bounced back with a hard-fought victory, which pleased Grealish.

“I think a lot of people like to talk about City and go on like it’s a big crisis, in reality we’ve played against very good teams,” he said.

“Spurs who’ve been unbelievable, Liverpool who are top of the league, Chelsea and Villa away, who’ve got one of the best records in Europe. We’ve played brilliant teams. It’s not the end of the world.

“We knew we had to keep calm today and [I’m] buzzing to get back to winning ways.

“We needed a lot of patience. We dominated the first half. I can’t remember them having too many chances and then they got the goal at the end of the first half, which was a blow for us.

“We came out in the second half and we spoke between each other, to move the ball better and not rush things. That’s what we did in the second half.

“We have the best manager in the world and world class players. They’ve dealt with a lot in their careers. We have a lot of experienced players.

“Fair play to Luton, they’re a really good team. At this ground it is difficult. Luckily, we got the job done.”

Pep Guardiola‘s men were without talisman Erling Haaland, who was ruled out of the encounter with a bone stress reaction, as confirmed by the manager prior to the encounter at Kenilworth Road.

Grealish believes the game would have been ideal for the Norwegian, with the manner of the hosts’ defending.

“This is one game where we would have been desperate for him,” he declared.

“When the other team goes man for man, Erling is brilliant. I don’t think there’s any team in the world who can handle him one against one.

“He’s so strong and he has pace. Julian [Alavrez] did brilliantly and got a really good assist for myself. It’s a good day.”
