City are not in action again until 16 September when we travel to West Ham, so here’s the itinerary of those selected to play for their country.

England

Euro 2024 Qualifier: Ukraine v England (September 9, 17:00 UK)

Friendly: Scotland v England (September 12, 19:45 (UK)

Kalvin Phillips, Phil Foden, Kyle Walker and Jack Grealish were all included in Gareth Southgate’s squad to face Ukraine and Scotland.

Grealish missed City’s 5-1 win over Fulham on Saturday and Assistant Coach Juanma Lillo said he felt it would be “difficult” for Jack to recover in time for England.

Grealish officially withdrew from the squad on Monday evening.

John Stones wasn’t selected as he recovers from injury.

Belgium

Euro 2024 Qualifier: Azerbaijan v Belgium (September 9, 14:00 UK)

Euro 2024 Qualifier: Belgium v Estonia (September 12, 19:45 UK)

Our new signing Jeremy Doku has been called up by Belgium for their Euro 2024 games against Azerbaijan and Estonia.

Kevin De Bruyne – just one cap shy of 100 - is side-lined with a long term injury.

Portugal

Euro 2024 Qualifier: Slovakia v Portugal (September 8, 19:45 UK)

Euro 2024 Qualifier: Portugal v Luxembourg (September 11, 19:45 UK)

Bernardo Silva and Ruben Dias have both been selected by Portugal for their upcoming Euro 2024 Qualifiers.

The Portuguese take on Slovakia and Luxembourg, with Joao Cancelo – on loan at Barcelona – also included.

New signing Matheus Nunes has not been selected on this occasion.

Netherlands

Euro 2024 Qualifier: Netherlands v Greece (September 7, 19:45 UK)

Euro 2024 Qualifier: Republic of Ireland v Netherlands (September 10, 19:45 UK)

Nathan Ake is likely to add to the 38 caps he’s so far won for Netherlands who will face Greece and Republic of Ireland.

The City defender signed off from Club duty with a headed goal against Fulham at the weekend and has become an integral part of the Dutch defence.

Croatia

Euro 2024 Qualifier: Croatia v Latvia  (September 8, 19:45 UK)

Euro 2024 Qualifier: Armenia v Croatia (September 11, 19:45 UK)

Summer signings Joško Gvardiol and Mateo Kovačic will both feature for Croatia for the first time as Manchester City players.

Croatia take on Latvia and Armenia and Kovačic will look to add to the 95 caps he’s so far won for his country, while Gvardiol has represented his nation 21 times to date.

Spain

Euro 2024 Qualifier: Georgia v Spain (8 September, 17:00 UK)

Euro 2024 Qualifier: Spain v Cyprus (12 September, 19:45 UK)

Rodrigo is our only Spain representative in La Roja’s latest squad following Aymeric Laporte’s move to the Saudi Pro League.

Evermore integral for Spain, Rodrigo is likely to face both Georgia and Cyprus and add to the 43 caps he’s won to date.

Norway

Friendly: Norway v Jordan (September 7, 18:00 UK)

Euro 2024 Qualifier: Norway v Georgia (12 September, 19:45 UK)

Erling Haaland returns to international duty on the back of scoring another hat-trick for City against Fulham at the weekend.

The City striker will look to add to his tally of 24 goals for the national team when they take on Jordan in a friendly before facing Georgia in a Euro 2024 Qualifier.

Erling has so far won 25 caps for his country.

Switzerland

Euro 2024 Qualifier: Kosovo v Switzerland (September 9, 19:45 UK)

Euro 2024 Qualifier: Switzerland v Andorra (September 12, 19:45 UK)

Manuel Akanji has so far won 51 caps for the Swiss and he is likely to add a couple more as his nation takes on Kosovo and Andorra.

Argentina

World Cup Qualifier: Argentina v Ecuador (September 8, 01:00 UK)

World Cup Qualifier: Bolivia v Argentina (September 12, 21:00 UK)

Julian Alvarez has won 22 caps for Argentina so far, scoring seven times.

The 23 year-old will look to add to both tallies as the world champions begin their long quest to defend the title they won in Qatar.

Brazil

Ederson has been called up for Brazil’s World Cup Qualifiers against Bolivia and Peru and will be looking to add to the 21 caps he has earned so for.
