His five goals across all competitions has also earned him a nomination for the Etihad Player of the Month for this month.

Foden‘s month began with his second City hat-trick, striking three times to turn the game around after we had gone behind at Brentford.

After a star turn in the Champions League win at Copenhagen, he then scored the winner in the away trip to Bournemouth to seal another three points in our hunt for a record fourth successive title.

In the end, Foden started every Premier League game as we won four times and had one draw.

Our playmaker faces competition from Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka, Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins, Brighton’s Pascal Gross, Rodrigo Muniz of Fulham, Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund and Joao Gomes of Wolves.
