Congratulations to Laura Coombs, who made her 100th Manchester City appearance in our Barclays Women's Super League clash with Everton.

The midfielder started in the heart of midfield at Walton Hall Park, as City signed off for 2023 with a convincing 4-1 victory.

It means Gareth Taylor‘s side move up to second in the WSL table, just three points off league leaders Chelsea.

Coombs becomes just the 15th player since our professional relaunch to reach the milestone and is one of six members of our current squad to make a century of appearances for City.

Joining City from Liverpool in 2019, the midfielder has since gone on to win both the FA Cup and Continental Cup during her time at the Joie Stadium.

She was also our derby day hero in December 2022, grabbing our equaliser in a 1-1 draw with Manchester United in front of a record 44,259 supporters at the Etihad Stadium.

Those exploits earned her a first England call-up since November 2020, and a place in Sarina Wiegman’s squad for the 2023 World Cup, where the Lionesses finished as runners-up.
