GARETH TAYLOR PREVIEW

The City boss revealed he is hoping to have a full squad – Jill Roord apart – to choose from for the trip to Merseyside.

Last weekend, Laia Aleixandri was forced to withdraw from the Manchester derby during the warm-up with a minor issue, but that now seems to have been precautionary more than anything else.

“We’re in pretty good shape,” said Taylor.

“There’s a couple of knocks to check on, but people came through training well.

“We’ll analyse, we had a good moment versus United, but need to analyse it - Liverpool’s pressure in buildup can make it tough, so we need intelligence and quality on the pitch to take our moments.

“The biggest thing is us being ourselves giving a good representation of what we do.

“We’ve done some amazing things in how we’ve portrayed ourselves as a team and that’s involved a lot of people - the team behind the team and the team at the weekend.

“We’re privileged to have that ethos and we need to enjoy it as much as we can.”

LAST TIME OUT

City recorded a fine 3-1 win over Manchester United in front of over 40,000 fans at the Etihad Stadium last time out.

A fantastic Jess Park brace before Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw’s record-breaking 68th goal for the Club helped secure the success – and our third win over Marc Skinner’s side this term.

PREVIOUS MEETING

A sublime Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw hat-trick alongside a Chloe Kelly penalty and Gemma Bonner own goal helped us to a 5-1 victory over Liverpool in January’s reverse fixture at the Joie Stadium.

TV INFORMATION

The clash will be broadcast live in the United Kingdom on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Football.
