Manchester City’s Barclays Women’s Super League clash with Chelsea at the Joie Stadium has sold out.

Gareth Taylor’s side host the reigning WSL champions on Sunday 8 October, with kick-off scheduled for 12:30 (UK).

Our maiden home clash of the new season, the fixture will also be our first in the WSL since the historic renaming of the Academy Stadium to the Joie Stadium.

The deal with Joie, our Women’s team’s official Family Partner, saw City become the first WSL club to secure a commercial agreement for its stadium naming rights.

With two of the pre-season title favourites locking horns on 8 October, our first showdown on home soil in 2023/24 should be a match befitting that grand occasion.

As always, if you haven’t been able to secure your seat in time, or are now unable to attend, then keep across our Ticket Exchange page for any updates around the fixture.

This also follows the recent news that, following discussions with our fans and the FA, all Barclays Women’s Super League away matches next season will have a dedicated allocation for our travelling supporters.

Gareth Taylor’s side ran out 2-0 winners in front of a 5,000-strong crowd in the last meeting between the two sides.

Stunning strikes from Filippa Angeldahl and Lauren Hemp enough to earn City a deserved three points and our first league win over Chelsea since 2017 in the process back in March 2023.
