Training: City hit the gym as focus switches to Continental Cup derby clash

It was straight back to work for City’s women on Monday as attention switched to this week’s huge Continental Cup clash at home to Manchester United.

Just 24 hours after superbly despatching Liverpool 5-1 in our first Barclays Women’s Super League clash of 2024, Gareth Taylor’s squad embarked on a gym recovery session at the CFA.

The players’ focus is now firmly fixed on Wednesday’s big Continental Cup derby encounter at the Joie Stadium, a game that CITY+ subscribers will be able to watch live.

And after putting five past the Merseysiders to turn up our chase for the title, not surprisingly, the City players were in buoyant spirits as they went about their work.
