The 18-year-old has confirmed her move to the Joie Stadium from League of Ireland champions Peamount United.
Having made her senior international debut last year, the left-back has amassed experience beyond her years.
And with City still in contention for three trophies this season, she’s now looking to add more medals to her burgeoning collection.
“The big thing for any footballer is winning trophies and that’s what I’ve come here to do,” she said in her first interview since signing for Gareth Taylor’s side.
“I’ve come here to learn off the players and coaches but ultimately, I’ve come to win WSL titles and Champions Leagues.
“After winning the league with Peamount, I felt I was ready to try and make the step up to the WSL.
“I’m young so hopefully I can come in and work hard over the next couple of months. I will do my best to try and earn a place in the team.”
O’Hanlon has impressed in several positions throughout her rise to this level but is clear on where she feels she performs at her best.
“I’m an attacking full-back,” she stated.
“I am very attack minded.
“I used to play in midfield when I was younger so I love to get down the wing and try and get assists and even score goals. I love defending, I love a tackle and I love to get stuck in.”
That style appears very suited to City.
O’Hanlon will join the likes of Kerstin Casparij, Esme Morgan, Leila Ouahabi and Demi Stokes as natural progressive options for Taylor in the full-back areas.
The boss often encourages the wide defenders to get forward and join in attacks with Casparij in particular doing so to great effect in recent weeks.
Our latest recruit insists it is no coincidence that she has ended up at a Club who play the kind of football she most enjoys.
“That was a big consideration when choosing what Club to go to and that was something that really appealed with City,” she said.
“I really liked the style of play and I think this is the best place for me to learn as much as I can and develop as a player.”
