Yui Hasegawa has penned a new contract at Manchester City – keeping her at the Club until the summer of 2027.

The Japan international arrived at the Joie Stadium in the summer of 2022 and has since become an integral part of our side while establishing herself as one of world football’s finest players.

In total, she has made 41 appearances for the Club – scoring one goal.

Throughout her maiden campaign at the Joie Stadium, her standout displays saw her included in the PFA Barclays Women’s Super League Team of the Season and nominated for the 2023 Ballon d’Or.

Hasegawa has continued her sparkling performances into the 2023/24 term and has amassed 14 appearances so far as Gareth Taylor’s side compete on three fronts.

She’s made more interceptions (24) and won possession more times (113) than any other player in the league so far, while she also figures in the top ten for pass completion, with a remarkable 596 finding their intended target.
