There was a party mood at the Etihad on Saturday – and that was before the 5-1 win!

The game against Fulham saw us celebrate Bahia in Manchester, or ‘O dia da Bahia’.

It saw a carnival atmosphere created as we marked the arrival of Bahia into the CFG Family.

Carlinhos Brown, one of the most prominent Brazilian musical artists of today and a Bahia football fan, was our star guest on the day and he did a brilliant job of getting everyone up for the clash with the Cottagers.

His electric trio truck entertained fans and brought the Bahia traditions to Manchester while he also made an appearance in the stadium itself pre-match for an interview as well as performing for the crowds on the pitch.

On top of that, we welcomed music artists A Dama and O Maestro and, other Bahian traditions were on display at the stadium including a capoeira presentation while we were also entertained by ‘Corridor of Timbaleiros’, Traditional Brazilian drummers.

As if that wasn’t enough, ‘O dia da Bahia’ also saw the return to the Etihad of Brazilian ace Elano, who was a hero with the crowd during his spell in the sky blue.
