Jeremy Doku scored one and assisted four to inspire City to a 6-1 Premier League victory over Bournemouth at the Etihad Stadium.

Pep Guardiola‘s men made the better start and took the lead on the half-hour mark through Doku, who exchanged passes with Rodrigo before curling expertly into the net from 15 yards.

Three minutes later, the explosive Belgian turned from scorer to provider, twisting his defender inside out before laying the ball on a plate for the onrushing Bernardo Silva, who passed into the corner to double our lead.

We added a third shortly after, with Doku at the heart of it again as his powerful strike from 20 yards, which was flying just wide, deflecting off Manuel Akanji and into the net.

Player of the Match Doku kept his attacking intensity after the interval and provided his third assist of the game shortly after the hour mark, playing in substitute Phil Foden to coolly add our fourth of the afternoon.

Luis Sinisterra pulled one back for the visitors with just over 15 minutes remaining, calmly sliding the ball under Ederson from close range, before Doku provided his fourth assist for Bernardo to chip in his second goal of the game.

Nathan Ake added superb sixth against his former club with two minutes left to play, connecting with Oscar Bobb‘s accurate cross.

The three points temporarily take us to the top of the Premier League table, with Arsenal and Tottenham yet to play this weekend.
