City begin the competition with a trip to Newcastle United on Wednesday 27 September, with kick-off scheduled for 20:00 (UK).
It represents the second time Pep Guardiola‘s squad will come face-to-face with the Magpies this season.
In August’s Premier League clash at the Etihad Stadium, Julian Alvarez‘s first-half stunner was enough for the hosts to record a 1-0 win over Eddie Howe’s side 1-0.
And our winning form has continued since then, extending our 100% run to eight games in all competitions.
With Newcastle buoyed by their 8-0 win over Sheffield United last weekend, Guardiola wanted to make sure all preparations were finetuned before our trip to Tyneside.
